Come spend the night before Halloween making something wonderfully weird.

Spooky Studio Night is an adults-only evening of pottery, snacks, music, and Halloween nonsense at the Studio Above the Clouds.

This is not a formal pottery class; there is no complicated project to follow and no masterpiece required.

Instead, you'll choose a piece from a small collection of Halloween pottery prepared especially for the evening (ghosts, monsters, skulls, spooky trays, and other strange little things) and spend the night decorating it however you please.

I'll have the studio ready with paints, underglaze if you want to have it refired and pick it up later, decorating tools, examples, and plenty of help when you need it.

You bring the imagination.

Or don't.

Sometimes a tiny ceramic ghost just needs googly eyes, easy peasy. 

Your Ticket Includes

• One Halloween pottery piece from the evening's collection

• All decorating materials and supplies

• Glazing and firing after the event if you select that option

• Light snacks

• Coffee and tea

• Spooky music and Halloween atmosphere

• Three hours in the Studio Above the Clouds with only eight total guests

• A completely unnecessary  prize for the evening's best costume - you win a Mini-Monster. Yeah, your very own!

If you select, your finished pottery will stay at the studio after the event so it can be glazed and fired. You'll be notified when it is ready for pickup, usually 3 weeks later. You can also paint it with available paints and then you can take it home that night. Your choice. 

Costumes

Costumes enthusiastically encouraged. Normal clothing grudgingly accepted.

We are not judging.

Ok, technically we are judging, because there is a costume prize.

Do I Need Pottery Experience?

BAHAHHAHAH! NO! Absolutely not. 

This night is designed for grownups who want to make something, try something new, hang out with interesting people, or simply spend a Friday evening doing something more entertaining than scrolling.

Experienced makers are welcome too, for sure, but there is no pressure to be "good at art."

There is barely pressure to behave.
