Kids' Art Lab Above the Clouds is a monthly studio experience for kids who want to make things, experiment with real art materials, and discover what happens when we stop worrying about whether something looks “right.”
Each month has a different project, material, or process.
We might work with clay, paint, paper, collage, printmaking, found materials, or something I haven't thought of yet.
The point is not to produce identical projects.
The point is to learn how materials work, make choices, try things, solve problems, and leave with something that belongs unmistakably to the person who made it.
No art experience is needed.
Two Sessions Each Month
Homeschool Session
10:30 AM–12:30 PM
Evening Session
6:00–8:00 PM

Ages & Class Size
Designed for ages 6–12.
Classes are intentionally small, with a maximum of six young artists per session.
Parents & Grownups
A parent or responsible adult must remain onsite during the session, but you do not have to sit beside your child and make the project. In fact, that wouldn't be fun for anyone.
Bring your laptop, or better yet, read a book.
Have coffee or tea or lemonade.
Sit outside and stare at the mountains, it's good for you.
Play Frisbee golf or cornhole or yard bowling with the other adults.
Your kid knows where you are.
What’s Included
All project materials, tools, and instruction.
For clay projects, finished work has to remain at the studio for drying and firing and will be available for pickup later.
One registration reserves one seat for one child.
